Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Care for Patients in Brooklyn and Across New York

If you are dealing with symptoms that may be related to Lyme disease or another Tick-Borne Infection, finding someone who will listen and carefully review your history matters. Bruzzese Medical provides virtual consultations for patients located in Brooklyn and throughout New York State.

Our Care Team evaluates each patient’s symptoms, medical history, testing, and previous treatments. Initial appointments are led by a nurse practitioner. Dr. James Bruzzese, MD, is directly involved in each appointment, oversees care, and makes treatment decisions.

A careful, individualized evaluation

Lyme disease and other Tick-Borne Infections can raise complicated questions, especially when symptoms persist or previous evaluations have not provided clear answers. We take time to review your concerns and consider other possible explanations for your symptoms as part of your evaluation.

Your consultation may include a review of:

  • Your symptoms and when they began

  • Possible tick exposure

  • Prior laboratory results and medical records

  • Previous diagnoses and treatments

  • Your current health concerns and goals

After the evaluation, the Care Team will discuss appropriate next steps with you. When clinically appropriate, a treatment plan may include oral medications, supportive measures, and follow-up care. Recommendations are based on your individual circumstances; no particular diagnosis or outcome can be promised.

Virtual care for New York patients

Bruzzese Medical currently provides care through telemedicine. You can attend your appointment from Brooklyn or elsewhere in New York State, provided you are physically located in the state.

We are currently working towards credentialing in other states. Updates to follow!

We do not provide hospital admissions or IV antibiotic treatment. If you need urgent or emergency care, seek in-person medical attention at an Emergency Department immediately.
